Boston has a ton of great breweries, but if you're only here for the weekend, we've picked the 7 best for you to check out while you're here.

1.) Dorchester Brewing Company

Head over to the Dorchester Brewing Company to taste some of their amazing beers as well as a few local and regional partners. With their 20 tap lines, there's no shortage of beers, or fun for that matter.

2.) Lamplighter Brewing Company

Lamplighter Brewing company is a real nd. Their taproom is open until Midnight Tuesday through Saturday, and they even do coffee and espresso from 7:30am for you early birds (no beer until 11AM though). If you're looking for some food to go with one of their 11 beers on tap, they've got you covered.

3.) Down The Road Brewery

A relative newcomer, Down The Road Brewery has only been open since 2015, and their taproom is brand spanking new. Having said that, Chief Brewmaster Donovan Bailey is no newbie, he's been brewing for over 20 years and has the accolades to prove it.

4.) Samuel Adams

No visit to Boston is complete without a stop at the world famous Sam Adams Brewery. Legendary founder Jim Koch left his cushy job as a management consultant to take on the imports at a time when American beer was considered a joke. Today Sam Adams is the top craft beer in America and the pride of Boston natives everywhere.

5.) Cambridge Brewing Company

Cambridge Brewing Company or "CBC" as the locals know it is the oldest brewpub in the Boston area. Founded in 1989, they've been making tasty beers for almost 30 years. They make fantastic food 2 meals a day and look to the seasons to inspire their rotating menu. Stop in for a bite and a drink at this Cambridge standard.

6.) Boston Beer Works

Boston Beer Works does 2 things really well, they make wonderful beer and excellent pizza. That's not to say the rest of their menu isn't good, it's just that the dough they use is made from the leftover malts giving it an incredibly unique flavor. They have a few locations, but our favorite is the original - right across from Fenway Park.

7.) Harpoon Brewery

Last but certainly not least, Harpoon Brewery is the oldest Brewery in Massachusetts. Located in the hip Seaport District, Harpoon has been brewing down by the docks since 1987, turning their little brewery into a regional powerhouse in the past 30 years. Stop in for their huge beer selection and famous pretzels before heading out for dinner or drinks in the trendy Seaport area.
